Osteopathy treatments

Osteopathy is a therapy which helps to detect, treat and prevent health problems. An osteopath does this by moving, stretching and massaging your joints and muscles. It is classed as a ‘manual therapy’ treatment. Manual therapy techniques are used by physiotherapists and chiropractors as well as osteopaths. Typically our patients will come to us suffering from back pain, neck pain, headaches, a sports injury or other joint e.g. hip, elbow, shoulder, knee and muscle pain and discomfort.

Does osteopathy work?

Osteopathy is an alternative to a chiropractor or physiotherapist and is recommended for the treatment of lower back pain by The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). If you aren’t sure if osteopathy treatment is suitable for you please give us a call and we will be happy to advise.
