Mitesh Mistry

Podiatrist BSc (Hons), MChS

Mitesh is a qualified Podiatrist with a degree from the Birmingham School of Podiatry and is a registered member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as well as the College of Podiatry. After graduating, Mitesh was employed by Derbyshire NHS Trust as a Community Podiatrist where he treated patients with a wide range of foot conditions which included managing foot ulcerations, routine podiatry and bio-mechanical issues.

He then moved onto becoming a Specialist Podiatrist for Northamptonshire NHS Trust where he was responsible for the Diabetic and High Risk foot service. Here he was privileged to be mentored by UK renowned Consultant Podiatric surgeons in the field of bio-mechanics and sports injuries.

Mitesh’s passion and expertise for bio-mechanics gives his patients one of the best levels of podiatric care with a treatment plan to attain outstanding results, which enables his patients to return to their normal quality of life. He states “My main goal for any patient I see, whether it be for bio-mechanical issues or general podiatry is to identify the main cause through acquiring a thorough medical history. I firmly believe once this is outlined I can develop a detailed treatment plan with the symptoms presented which will attain the best results.”

Mitesh provides treatments for general podiatry which includes uncomfortable or painful corns, callus, dry or cracked skin, along with a course of treatments for verrucas and fungal toe nails as well as Diabetic foot assessments and ingrowing and difficult toe nails. He also provides a specialised treatment plan for bio-mechanical concerns such as heel pain, plantar fasciitis, Achilles Tendonitis, knee pain, painful bunions and general foot pain which include the provision of customised orthotics, an exercise plan and the provision of specialist footwear.

Mitesh concludes that “Most of the foot problems seem minor at the time and we tend to ignore it. However, our body has a method of compensating and altering the position of our joints and muscles which causes pain in our ankles, knees and hips.” Therefore, please contact us and have a consultation earlier before this occurs.

Mitesh is trained as an Indian classical music tabla (drum) player from a renowned school of classical music (SAMPA). He has performed in numerous concerts accompanying famous artists which included sitar, vocal and percussionist. His most memorable performance to date was at the Royal Albert Hall.
