Are you ready to take charge - let us help you to

When taking charge of your own health care it is essential to know the difference between true and false statements in order to make educated decisions. With the rise in use of social media, it is likely that you will see various ‘gurus’ recommending exercises, food, drink or supplements that are suggested to enhance your health and well-being. Whilst many people are just trying to be helpful, it is important for us all to decide what the best course of action for our health is, with the close guidance and education from experienced health care professionals.

Osteopaths are highly skilled health care professionals

During osteopathic education we are encouraged to read and evaluate research in a variety of subjects such as nutrition, exercise, health and well-being, in order to continue and expand this knowledge into our careers. This is then channelled into our reasoning skills during your treatments, in order to detect the best route for your recovery.

Osteopaths as problem solving detectives

We value the importance of looking for the root cause of the problem. But what does this actually mean? You could think of osteopaths as problem solving detectives; trying to think outside of the box and looking at the symptoms to find other aspects of your health, which may be linked. For example, the pain that you feel in your low back can often be as a result of your posture altering and therefore putting tensions into different areas. Therefore, educating you to give a valued understanding of your symptoms is a crucial part of our treatment; developing a home plan for your recovery alongside the treatment.

Osteopaths keep learning all the time

Our knowledge is based on various research that we continuously read and on the patients that we meet. Each individual has read or experienced something different, which is why we enjoy learning from our patients, as well as educating you to resume control of your own health and well-being.

The long-term goal for us as osteopaths is that you will have the tools to maintain your body to its maximum and pain free potential.

We treat you as an individual

We have five osteopaths at the ROC. We feel that we provide professional yet friendly and personal services to our patients. If you would like to hear more, please contact us Tel: 01788 560 646   E-mail:
