Cranial Osteopathy

Jo Sheridan

D.O.  Hons.

Jo studied to be an Osteopath at the British School of Osteopathy (BSO) in London after having completed a Biology degree at Sussex University. She was student union president and graduated with Honours in 1989. She was also awarded the Gold Medal which is occasionally awarded to a student of extreme merit. She returned to work as a clinic tutor at the BSO.

Jo set up a multi-disciplinary practice in Coventry working closely with a homoeopath, podiatrist, and acupuncturist where she worked for 10 years. This is where she developed her special interest in working with women and children.

In 2001 she joined her husband, Adam, at the Rugby Osteopathic Centre. At the same time they moved with their children from Coventry to live in Dunchurch. Jo specialises in the treatment of women and children, ranging from new-borns through to expectant mothers and elderly women.

Jo’s special interests also include doing work placement assessments and the treatment of cervico-genic headaches. Jo’s treatment is gentle and includes cranial osteopathic treatment.

Jo and Adam’s 3 children are now young adults either still at university or starting their new careers. Now that Jo has more free time she enjoys textile art including saori weaving, making cards, swimming and Pilates.

Liam Halton

BSc (Hons) Ost

Liam graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Osteopathy after returning to education in 1997 as a mature student following a career in purchasing with Massey Fergusson.

Liam’s interest in osteopathy developed after having treatment for various sports injuries; “I always found that treatment helped me return to fitness much faster and that my general health improved.”  This inspired Liam to change his career path and retrain as an osteopath.

Liam has experience in treating adults and children using a wide range of techniques and continues his professional development by attending post-graduate courses and seminars including Medical Acupuncture.

Liam is registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GosC), the statutory body that is responsible for the regulation of osteopaths in the UK and a member of the British Osteopathic Association and the British Medical Acupuncture Assocation.

 Erica Winters

During this time she also gained an additional qualification in sports massage, and is passionate in continuing her professional development for the benefit of her patients.

Erica has had experience in treating a variety of patients, from babies to the elderly, coming from all corners of life. She applies various approaches during her treatment, including cranial and structural techniques, ensuring the treatment is tailored to each individual patient’s needs. Erica is registered with the General Osteopathic Council.

Outside of osteopathy, Erica enjoys spending time in the countryside walking her dogs or riding her horse. She is a keen swimmer and enjoys cycling, with an interest in undertaking a new challenge that a triathlon presents.
